Give the agent useful context
An AI coding partner needs the goal, project structure, constraints, and a definition of done. Keep these instructions in a short project file that can be updated as decisions change. Avoid including private credentials or unnecessary personal information.
Make it practical
Write a project context note with the product goal, stack if already chosen, supported flows, design rules, and commands used to check the project. Separate established decisions from open questions.
TRY THIS PROMPT
Read the project context and relevant files. Summarize the current behavior, list assumptions, and propose a small plan for adding an editable note to a saved book. Do not change unrelated features.
Check your work
Does the plan refer to the actual project? Does it identify what could break? Can you tell what work is included and excluded?
Use the output as a draft. Compare it with the brief, inspect the work, and keep the decisions you can explain.
